Carolin Löbbert is a Hamburg based artist, establishing her name as an illustrator as well as a graphic designer. Her illustrations are poetic, gracious and contemplative, putting special care to the details with her sensitivity.
Her works have been comissened to various magazines and anthologies because of her strength of her work that comes from the strong connection to the subject matter and its relation to social issues. One of the main themes in Carolin‘s works is about the destruction of nature, and you can see glimpses of the animals suffering from this in some of her illustrations. She excels in creating trick art, and her work using nature and animals as physical elements for depicting biologist are examples of some of Carolin‘s representative works. In recent years, Carolin started to do collaborative work with photographer Inga Seevers and it is a new challenge/experiment for her to create mixed work between photography and Illustration.
She did exchange semester at the école supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg (ESAD) in 2005, and graduated at the Univertity of Applied Sciences (Department Design) at Hamburg in 2008. Since 2003, Carolin has participated in several exhibitions and art shows around the world, such as Strasbourg and Tokyo…tbc
